Save the date - Friday 7th and Saturday the 8th of October 2016.
CURL mag are super stoked to get on board and announce the 2nd annual Noosa Surf Film Festival.
Louise Clark from the Noosa Film Fest tells CURL "After our first ever Noosa Surf Film Festival which blew records and sold out screenings, we were exhausted. But for the most part of 2016, we have been planning the follow-up event that will blow your minds".
"Last year we filled The J in Noosa with hundreds of sun bleached, stoked up surfers for 2 days of surf, films, art and music. We had films submitted from all over the world including Japan, USA, France, Brazil, Indonesia, Italy and England. Not to mention the solid talent that surrounds us here on the Sunshine Coast. Locals, Harrison Roach had his filmmaker debut with ‘Salvaged’ and Andy Staly’s ‘Anthology’ premier had the whole audience grooving to the amazing soundtrack which paired perfectly to his incredible footage. Other filmmakers include Mark Waters, Tom Wegener & Misha Robb, Jaden Marc, Jake Donlen, Tony Harrington, Stefan Hunt, Hayley Gordon and Greg Hugin just to name a few".
"This year we want to make it even better, so far we have an awesome opening event, 4 jam packed screenings, art show, bands and a full bar".
Submissions closed on Friday September 2nd and CURL sources tell us that they had over 40 quality submissions this year so far.
If you like surf, art, music and fun head along to the "J" in Noosa on Friday the 7th and Saturday the 8th of October 2016.
See you there !
